Matt Faley, MBA, CPA
CPA, Public Speaker, and Business Consultant
For over twelve years, Matt Faley has been working in the areas of accounting and finance for small and medium-sized businesses. His work has included roles as Accounting Manager, Controller and Chief Financial Officer. In 1998, Matt left corporate America to become a business advisor and CPA. In 2002, he opened his own public accounting firm, which he continues to own and operate. Matt’s clients have included retail, construction, hospitality, healthcare and specialty manufacturing. In 1999, Matt Faley accepted his first adjunct teaching position with a community college. Since then, Matt has taught both undergraduate and graduate level business courses at a number of colleges and universities including Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne. In 2006, Matt developed and implemented the Masters in Healthcare Administration degree for the School of Business.
Matt Faley has served in a number of leadership positions in both professional and community organizations. Matt is past-President of the Fort Wayne Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and has been a national committee member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Grass Roots committee. Matt sits on the Community Development Finance Committee for Fort Wayne and has held the position of Treasurer for a local not-for-profit social service agency, Family & Children Services. Matt is currently the VP of Marketing and Public Relations for the Anthony Wayne Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America and is active as a worship leader and Bible study leader in his church.
Matt is currently completing his dissertation on leadership development for his PhD in Business. He holds a Masters of Business Administration Degree and a Bachelor’s degree with a business administration concentration. Matt is a graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne, a community-based leadership development program.
Matt has spoken on a number of topics to diverse audiences. Topics have included financial ratio analysis, tax law updates, outsourcing, small business success, leadership development, communication, change management, and leadership strategies. Matt’s audiences have included local business groups, corporations, innovation centers and National conferences. Matt has made numerous appearances on local television news, commenting on current finance and economic trends. Matt has been featured in several local print news stories, as well.
